We go to Florida for Jade's wedding

My sister Margaret and I went to our niece's wedding in Santa Rosa Beach Florida this past weekend. 

We have the third floor corner room with a balcony and our own palm trees.  It was cool enough to sit outside in the evening or early morning.  Good for drying swim suits too!

The hotel was across from a state park that has rescued a mile of white sandy beach from development.  We drove over in our little rental Mazda Saturday and Sunday AM for a swim.

The Wedding Venue

Saturday morning we drove over to the wedding venue, Bentley's on the Bay.  It had rained on the deck and looked rather bleak.

But there was no rain in the evening. and the deck looked festive  as family and friends gathered around the beautifully decorated tables.  Margaret admires all the work done by the bride's mother.

Getting to theDock

Everyone's outside except Jade, who is upstairs in air conditioned comfort. Karen's Uncle Jim played the guitar as we waited in the heat for the Bridal Party to walk out to the dock.  Perhaps his wife Margie is bringing some news about the wedding procession.

Jade's Aunt Shelby, an attorney, had gotten herself legally certified to conduct marriage ceremonies.

After many photographs were taken by this photographer, a delicious buffet was served and it was time to cut the cake as instructed by the photographer
